| He didn't know why this fledgling had been bitten and left to fend for himself; it was a good example of how not to go about your nightly business, because the beat cops had almost found the boy and the body before he had gotten there, and while discovery had happened before and could be taken care of, it was always a pain to shove under the rug. So he cleaned up the body and he cleaned up the scene of the crime, and he took the nearly-catatonic vampire fledgling into his home to clean him up, because he was soaked in the vestiges of his kill and would probably need an entirely new set of clothes, not to mention some guidance. He was patient in his attempts coax a coherent response out of the man, even if he was a little vexed that the Coven hadn't caught him before he'd made a mess of the little girl, but that could be dealt with later. It wasn’t the fledgling’s fault at any rate, and his kind took care of their own, even if it wasn’t usually him to be doing it. But when he sat the thing down on a stool and began to wipe away the blood, he found out that the abandonment of this little bird would not be the most troublesome event of his evening... |
